Competing in the 2007 IronMan Wisconsin was a bit on the expensive side for me. I needed to start from scratch seeing that I did not own a road bike and I didn't know how to swim.
I'm always looking for ways to justify the costs -- well, today I found another justification:
Check this out -- Nantuck 7 bedroom rental for ONE (1) WEEK -- $45,000.00 and according to the Internet listing -- they are booked out through August 22,2008 -- but they do have the week of July 25, 2008 available -- hurry and call.
Also, while reading the real estate listings (which I always do) -- I noticed that the average price of a "normal" house in Nantucket seems to be around the 2,000,000.00 to 3,500,000.00 range -- holy smokes.
So, the cost of IronMan -- no worries....

who lives there? Maybe the folks that run Ironman? :)
They have a good product. It was worth it for me. Especially since they paid off the weather maker this year.
