Ok, three years ago I decided I wanted to add some running into my weekly activities – nothing too big, just a few miles here and there. Mrs. Team BRAZO at the time stated that she was only interested in doing some “Power Walking”…whatever that is. Her thought process of just “Power Walking” lasted just about a week before she was running along side of me.
That was three years ago – now Mrs. Team BRAZO runs 4 to 5 times a week for about 20 miles a week. She also now owns a Trek 1500 road bike (thanks to her husbands awesome Christmas present last year), that she rides a few times a week on the road or on the trainer at home. Mrs. Team BRAZO also owns a wetsuit in which she swims at the pool 1 to 2 times a week or at the Cottage off the pier a few times a week. Also, now Mrs. Team BRAZO owns a Trek Fuel ex 7 Mountain Bike that she has ridden multiple times at Cam Rock 3 just outside of Madison.
Mrs. Team BRAZO has also run in a few road races, participated in a few Triathlons, and now has just finished her first Mountain Bike race. Next year she has the Door County Triathlon already on her schedule along with a few road races, probably an XTERRA, certainly some more Mountain Bike races, and Muddy Buddy with our sister-in-law.
So, now I’m wondering what is next – can I talk her into a ½ Marathon, maybe a future ½ IronMan, how about a full Marathon, or maybe a full IronMan?
She denies it now, but a while back she stated “If you go to Brazil to do an IronMan, I’ll do one with you” – so I just need to get that entry into IronMan Brazil and I’ll have my ultimate IronMan training partner…
