On a roll...

Up until early last week, my off-season training has consisted of "scheduled" runs of 4 miles every other day. In between those days I did many rides on the mountain bike and other cross-training activities.

Well, this every other day thing didn't really work for my mind and body -- so last week I decided I would either run or "road bike on trainer" every day regardless of my other cross training. This has made a big difference in how I feel over the last week. My plan is to continue this until we get back from our vacation, then I'll start up the "base" training schedule -- same as I used last year.

So the countdown begins:
