Today I completed Training Week #1 on my schedule that will end with IronMan Louisville 2008. I must say that I love being back on the schedule again and even though I basically doubled my workout hours that I had been doing -- it was painless and actually feel much better.
One thing that I noticed this week, is that I seem to be hungry more often than not -- and I actually lost 3 of the pounds that I put on during vacation.
Being back in the pool doing laps actually wasn't as bad as I anticipated -- I just don't get into the boring laps and the fact that I have to schedule the swim with the pool schedule instead of just doing it when I have time. This will sound "un-IronMan" -- but the hardest part of swimming is that darn first jump into the water -- a bit cold at first -- after that it is all easy!!
So, tomorrow is my day off -- but we have the mountain bikes on the roof of the Prius and once the kids are out of school we are off to the Cottage -- plan on doing some mountain bike riding on Saturday with the family.
