Yesterday the New York City Marathon held their Lottery for entry into the 2008 New York City Marathon. According to the web site, 50% of the applicants are accepted via the Lottery. I have entered into the Lottery in 2006, 2007, and 2008 -- all 3 times I have been "rejected". Seeing that I'm not Katie Holmes, I will not be running the 2008 New York City Marathon.
But the good news is that I WILL be running the 2009 New York City Marathon. The New York City Marathon guarantees entry if you have been denied 3 years in a row -- so next year I'm in!!

Nice one. I would love to do New York. Done London twice (great marathon) and Chicago. Would also like to do Berlin as that is supposed to be a great marathon.
