So, I'm at the part of my training were my hours have been consistently around 15 hours per week. This really isn't that bad compared to many people that put in 20+ per week during the final months -- but it does take a toll on my body. Over the last 2-3 weeks, I have felt very lethargic each morning when I wake up. Kindof like I can't get up, but I'm not really that tired -- a bad combination.
My weight has also slowly gone down -- all year I was around 182 -- now I'm around 175.
After reading the comments on the http://ironmanlouisville2008.blogspot.com/2008/08/how-do-you-feel-when-does-your-taper.html -- I realize I'm not the only one.

I have it on pretty high authority that the final month of Ironman training is IM's dirty little secret. You're going to be tired. You're going to wonder where your speed went. Stay on schedule. Get as much sleep as you can. And come race day your taper will have worked itself out.
or something. Good luck.

I know exactly what you mean. Sleeping in doesn't even make a difference. It's just an all over, all the time, tiredness. I think it's the body repairing itself and making us stronger. Think of how strong you'll be on race day!
O.k. I am glad you posted this. I was honestly beginning to wonder whether I had mono, some virus, etc. as there is no much thing as enough sleep right now. Feels like I am walking around in a daze. We're almost there! Did you guys do WORS over the weekend?

Chin up team brazo, it will feel so much sweeter and worth it when you cross that finish line!
Hi Tri-Mom -- nope, no WORS race. We'll probably get back at it in September/October.
Hope all is well with the IMKY training -- getting close.
