Elevator IronMan talk...

If you stay at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville for the IronMan, you'll spend a lot of time waiting for elevators. In fact it gets so bad, that you start sharing "elevator strageties" on how to get one that isn't completely full with people and bikes.

Here is some of the "talk" that I heard during my elevator travels:

-- Older gentleman was asked if it was his 1st IronMan -- he went on to explain that this was number 18 -- only one DNF

-- Two guys from Texas talking about race day temps forecast -- not just happy regarding the mid-90's forecast, but almost giddy

-- Younger IronMan participant in somewhat distress. He was having a hard time determining if he should pump his bike tires to 117 psi or 120 psi. Last year he did 120 psi and whataknow -- he flatted. He was asking all of us on the elevator our opinion -- of course, 120 psi...

-- Nice old couple welcomed me to IronMan and stated that they live on the bike route and enjoy watching the race -- nice couple

-- Other than that, it was elevator strategy being discussed...
