Well, the body is slowly recoverying from my "to hell and back" IronMan experience. The night of IronMan I only slept from around 1AM to 5AM so that I could get my Finishers gear in the morning. We then drove 8 hours back to Madison.
Monday and Tuesday I was a bit sore and a bit tired, but by Wednesday the soreness had gone away. Now I just feel like I have a cold (which I don't) and need to eat often to maintain my energy levels. I've had no desire to run/bike/swim, yet.
One thing that is not fun with my IronMan experiences has been the roof of my mouth after IronMan. This has happened for both IMWI and IMKY. The roof of my mouth gets raw or sore or something that makes eating very hard. So after the IM, I get cravings for certain foods -- but because of the mouth problem, they just don't taste that good. The mouth is getting better and hopefully within a few days I can enjoy "tasting" food again.
Went over to the IMWI 2008 practice swim -- just to watch. Conditions are great today with little wind and 60's.

The conditions will be MUCH different down in Mad Town this weekend. Have fun if you go, and I am placing a bet I know where you will be Monday a.m. I ran for the first time this morning. It was slow and I didn't go far, but it was something! Take care!
