I'm now on my 3rd week of my "IronMan training schedule". Right now I'm just in the base training mode with about 8 hours per week of training. I have been doing two days of swimming, three days of running, and four days on the bike. This week I've added in three days of a short strengthing workout in order to slowly build up to the Cincinnati Flying Pig Pump -n Run Marathon.
The part that I'm forgetting is that on my normal day off, which is Saturdays, I have been mountain biking with the family on that day. Not just mountain biking, but when you have a 14 year old that is pretty darn good on the mountain bike and is in pretty darn good shape -- it makes for quite a workout. Last Saturday Oldest Mini Team BRAZO and myself did the Green loop (~8 miles) at Kettle Moraine after the entire Team had done the Orange loop (~6 miles) together. Well, it wasn't all that warm out and when I got back to the car I was completely soaked in sweat.
So, in reality -- no days off -- and I can feel it...
