It's official -- I faxed in my entry for the 2008 Badger State Games Quadrathlon. The Quadrathlon is being held in Wausau Wisconsin on Febraury 3rd.
I've ordered the Atlas Race Snowshoes and plan on purchasing a cross country ski package from REI this week (they have a sale on their ski packages). Then I just need some snow.
I'm looking forward to the training that I can do outdoors to get ready for the race. Normally, during the winter I'm pretty much confined to the house with the treadmill and the bike trainer -- plus the pool.
In the last few years, we have not had much snow before February so hopefully this year is different and we'll have enough snow for the race and also to train. We do have a Cottage on the shores of the bay of Green Bay -- which does freeze during the winter. So, if we don't have snow, I can use the bay as my training grounds.
Should be fun...

Hi Team Brazo! Welcome to the Winter Games. We are currently choreographing our snow dance, in case it is needed in late January!
We hope you will enjoy our new venue, Nine Mile Forest Ski Trails, it's going to be a great site.
Have fun training, don't forget to incorporate some dance moves, in case we need help with our plead for snow.
