Thanks to the help of Oldest Mini and the advice from RobbieB -- I'm now able to complete most of my flip turns. I'm probably 90% efficient -- meaning, 90% of the time I'm actually getting the flip done and one or more feet are pushing off the wall. The other times I'm either out of breath by the time I get to the wall or I flip too late and my feet hit the top of the wall.
Oldest Mini had me use my hands to help speed up the flip and that made a huge difference.
I'm enjoying the "speed" / "efficiency" that the flip turns give me....

Sweet! I'm always paranoid I'm going to smash my head or something. I make a motion that they incorporate walls of some kind for IMKY, just so you can put your new knowledge to best use.
You're a brave man. I haven't yet worked up to flip turns.
Like xt4 said, too afraid to smash my head, or more likely smash my feet on the top.
How do you do it without drowning??!!
Ha! You bring back memories of me teaching myself flip turns in a hotel pool about 12 years ago - four years before I started tri-ing.
I've finally got 'em down too. Congrats!
