Today Youngest Mini participated in the Door County Kids triathlon in Sturgeon Bay. He ended up 5th in his age group and had a great time. They did a great job putting on the event.
The forecast for the winds were to be 5 to 10 mph out of the East -- well, I doesn't seem to be quite East. I'm sitting at the Cottage watching the waves crash on shore -- doable as far as swimming, but it would not be fun at all. Really not all that windy, but the wind must be coming right down the Bay causing the waves. Hopefully the winds switch directions overnight.
Looking forward to the race -- next year the Door County Triathlon is going from a maximum of 1000 participants to a maximum of 2000 participants. They plan on holding the Sprint on Saturday and then the Half-IronMan on Sunday.
