IronMan Weigh-in

So, before you are allowed to start an IronMan race -- you need to get weighed during IronMan registration. They then use this information if you have medical issues and can pull you from the course if you lose too much weight on race day.

Last year for IMWI, I made sure I was a bit on the dehydrated side in order to have my weigh-in be a low number. I did not want to get pulled from the course because I lost too much weight -- probably not the best of thought processes, but whatever.

This year for IMKY, I didn't even give it a thought. I have been around 175lbs for the last month or so -- but today I was 179lbs.

Guess I'm going to need to eat a bunch in the next couple of days...

Actually I was told they pull you if you gain weight too. It means your body is not processing the fluids you are taking in.

Good Luck.

Hello,

I was curious if anyone would be so kind as to whether or not they would recommend or not recommend the Louisville IM? I'm looking to do my first IM...

Thanks,
