Twitter has pulled me in - Status update

It has been quite a while since I posted here - Twitter works out so much better for me.

Anyway, IronMan Wisconsin 2009 training has gone well - but a bit spotty this year. We purchased a new cruising boat this year and spent 4+ weeks on the boat. Even though I missed some weeks of training, when I was back in town - I had some very good workouts/weeks.

I'm ready to roll with the only goal is to Finish. Same goal as always but this year I need to stay within myself based on my training.

Also, I signed up for IronMan Lake Placid 2010. Even though my summers are dominated with boating - I have no plans to give up my IronMan training and events.

Good to know you're still kicking, was starting to wonder. I haven't been to the pool in ages, much prefer open water swimming.

Good luck at IM.

Tried to e-mail you, but it didn't go through for some reason.

Any time predictions?

Gatorade swim tomorrow or Friday?

I think our bikes will be racked fairly close- I'm 1558

Apparently our parents are getting together to watch at least part of the race.

Hey Pat,

No, no time predictions - Finish only. My training this year has been good but not consistent, so just a nice finish will work for me. Here are my thoughts on times thu:

Swim - sub 1:45

Bike - sub 7:30

Run - plan on just having fun and enjoying the experience. I'll run as much as I can/want and walk when needed/desired.

I'm not committed enought to "get better", but I refuse to give up doing IronMan's (signed up for IMLP 2010).

re: Gatorade swim tomorrow or Friday?

Yes, I plan on doing a very quick swim tomorrow morning around 9AM or so. Not sure about Friday. How about yourself - be nice to chat with you after 40 years have gone by.

Ya, I think that is very cool that our parents are getting together. I just warned them that they may need to bring a lunch waiting for me after you have passed.

Hope to see you around this weekend.

I met you at our blogger meet up dinner before IMWI last year. I'm volunteering again this year. I'll be looking for you on the run. I'm working an aid station for 6 hours on state street. The one that is on state street with the turn around. It will be a junlge safari theme. If I don't see you, good luck!!

Just missed you crossing the finish line cause another friend of mine finished right before you and I was out with his family congratulating him. Sorry I missed you. :( Looked for you all day, but never saw you. Congrats on finishing. You were awesome. Cannot wait to read all about it. How were you with the heat? That was pretty brutal huh.

I stayed until 1230 last night when the last lady crossed the finish line. It was important for her to finish it, so they let her and about 100 of us stayed to cheer her in. IT WAS FRICKIN' Awesome!! Can't wait to hear from you.

Take care,
Melissa
